Wild Onion is also known as onion weed or onion grass.  Like garlic, it belongs to the allium family.  Onionweed is a prebiotic that supports gut health and enhances the bioavailability of iron and zinc.  It is a good source of vitamins A and C, as well as minerals like potassium, calcium, and selenium.  Wild onions contain compounds with anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, and antioxidant properties.

Onion grass is a cooling vegetable and can aid in digestion due to their prebiotic content.  They also contain fiber that promotes regular bowel movements and improves overall digestive function.

Along with being a heart healthy plant, Wild onion can help soothe the symptoms of eczema, psoriasis, and even acne when used topically.   This is due to it's high sulfur content.  You can simply crush a few leaves and apply them directly to the affected area.
