The Heart of Farming

The Heart of Farming

Let's walk around the farm in the dark" my husband said.  "It will be fun", he said.  In that moment of trekking the route around and hills, I was struck by the raw beauty of farm life. While most people were nestled in warm homes, my husband was out here—a silent guardian of our livestock. His dedication was poetry in motion: breaking ice in tubs, carefully carrying water to our cow and her newborn calf, sheltered in the barn lot. Farming isn't just a job, I realized. It's a calling. A commitment that doesn't clock out when temperatures drop or snow piles high. It's about nurturing life, respecting the land, and facing each day's challenges with unwavering resolve. Our evening walk wasn't just a chore. It was a testament to the spirit of those who work the land.

Beautiful family farm that my husband works and helps maintain
